A fierce, not a care in the world given artiste with hits to boast of; does this description fit anyone you know? If yes, then the bill probably fits Kelly Hansome.
Kelly Hansome is a name that is not strange to the ears. Orji Kelechi Obinna a.k.a Kelly Hansome, armed with hits such as Like Play and Maga at one time made him the king of the airwaves and his romance with Kennis Music, which is a juggernaut in the music industry made a formidable combination that was nothing short of a match made in heaven.
As a new artiste, garnering star power and status in such a short period of time was mind blowing and then came the ‘knock from heaven’ and soon there was discord between Kelly and his management and then came an ‘abattoir of beef’ between himself and M.I, D’banj and Wande Coal which proved to stretch him to his limits. A hiatus came into the picture and Kenny left us.
After years of being away from the scene, Kelly is back and the world is anticipating the stellar music he is synonymous for. Armed with a new EP titled 4Play and a strategy to take over the world, Kelly has emerged an eagle and set his sights on the sky as the world anticipates his second coming!
It’s January and we want to start the year on a joyous note and so for our cover we bring to you Steve Onu aka YAW.
The OAP’s OAP clad in a white tee-shirt with black basketball shorts, snickers and a face cap welcomed us with a smile as we walked into the Classic FM Studio for the interview session. With a smile that never seems to leave his face, he proceeded to answer every question one after the other skipping some while succeeding in making a serious question humorous.
The on air personality, funny man, actor and compere, took us on a trip down memory lane and even into the future through his eyes as he shared experiences from his childhood, trial and travails, talked about his greatest fan and lots more as he managed to make everything worth a good laugh.
His journey is one of perseverance and sheer will power and he effortlessly preaches the gospel of determination in this piece. Another thing to look forward to is his personality test which he didn’t seem to answer without perks or add ons.
January couldn’t have gotten a better personality to grace its cover.
