Former Nollywood actor Femi Ogedengbe has replied all those looking down and talking trash at him.
Some speculations have been circulating for a while now that the actor has moved to the United States to work as a Security Guard. However Mr Femi has now acknowledged the rumor stating that it is indeed true and that there was nothing to be ashamed of for it.
The former actor recently released a YouTube video addressing all those that attacked him.
“I saw myself as one of the very great actors in Nollywood. In 2005, I discovered that the Nollywood industry, where I belong, was becoming more and more a tribalistic industry because a few financiers who were throwing in money for productions dictated who appear in the movies,” he said.
He went on to add, “So, more and more, we discovered that those of us, talking about Emeka and others, we were not getting the jobs we should get based on merit, I had to move over to the Yoruba genre and even at that, I discovered that the Yoruba genre was more like a help- me-I-help you outfit that couldn’t pay my bills, I just couldn’t cope.”
After the news hit air, some people took it upon themselves to riddicle him while some other’s stood up for him.
“Oh yes! I am now a security guard in the USA and so what?” he fired back at the trolls, adding, “Well, I have only been doing this for a little more than one year now and I can boldly say without any shame that, what I have achieved in my father’s land being an actor/director/producer for over twenty something years is no where compared to being a “Maiguard” for just a year in this blessed foreign land.”
Ogedengbe said a lot more, dismissed Nigeria as a shit hole country, noted how the politicians are running the country down, and explained why the country’s best hands are relocating abroad.
He also encouraged Nigerians to vote in better leaders, if they ever wish to save what’s left of the country.
